Professional Development Committee

Arizona Licensure

Committee Mission - “Creating Opportunities for our members to grow and develop in their professional life.”

The Professional Development Committee was established in 2002 in order to provide quality and relevant education to enhance the skills and knowledge of professional Social Workers. This committee is made up of representatives from ASU, practicing Social Workers, and others concerned about issues related to the provision of meaningful educational opportunities for Social Workers. The Committee is focusing on the development of classes to meet licensure requirements and to determine if there is a way to establish a method for Social Workers to obtain needed supervision hours in order to be qualified to test for their License. Under the umbrella of the Committee, courses are developed in collaboration with ASU for the Continuing Education Series; we are researching the development of policies, procedures, and standards for continuing education programs as well as developing alternative delivery methods for provision of continuing education. If you are interested in serving on this committee please contact the chapter office at 480-968-4595 or Email: chapter@naswaz.com.
